I'm at home in heaven, dear ones;
All's so happy, all's so bright!
There's perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.

All the pain and grief are over,
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever;
Safely home in heaven at last.

Did you wonder I so calmly
Trod the Valley of the Shade?
Oh, but Jesus' love illumined
Every dark and fearful glade!

And He came Himself to meet me
On the way so hard to tread;
And with Jesus' arm to lean on,
Could I have on doubt or dread?

Then you must not grieve so sorely,
For I love you dearly still;
Try to look beyond earth's shadows,
Pray to trust our Father's will.

I want to take a moment to inform everyone who remembers our Grandmother, Dorothy Bernhardt. In June of 2007 it became imperative to move her back to California to live with me. Due to her health, the alternative was eventually going to be a nursing home. Therefore, my nephew Craig and I packed her up and headed west. She could not access the condo I purchased so I found a leased home in Indio, CA, and took care of her until the Lord took her on Christmas morning of 2007. She was my Angel in this life and her request was to be buried next to her grandson Jordan in Westlake Village, CA. I moved heaven and earth to make all of this happen. I know she is with the Lord. Her arms are wrapped around Jordan and they are watching over all of us. I was blessed with the opportunity to comfort her, care for her, and allow her to die in my arms in our home.
